Your unflagging support of ADRA\u2019s mission is reaching the vulnerable around the world with provision and protection.\u00a0Who are the vulnerable? They are those who can\u2019t shield themselves from harm or exploitation. Most often, they are women and children.<\/p>\n

Dans les zones rurales des Philippines, des conceptions et des pratiques n\u00e9fastes mettent en danger certaines femmes et certains enfants.<\/p>\n

En tant que conseill\u00e8re de barangay, Mary Jane Enciso se soucie profond\u00e9ment de faire de sa communaut\u00e9 un endroit meilleur et plus s\u00fbr. \u201cI was very eager to be a part of the project,\u201d<\/em> dit Mary Jane. \u201cI encouraged my neighbours to be a part of the project since its objective is to uplift the situation of every family, especially women and girls.<\/em><\/p>\n

Of all TOGETHER\u2019s messages, what I like best are the ones that address violence against women and children. Things were happening in the barangay, such as harassment of women and the violation of rights. ADRA was the first organization to introduce topics about violence against women and children. We learned more about the law that protects women and children.<\/em><\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s qu'ADRA ait diffus\u00e9 cette information, les maris et les m\u00e8res font attention \u00e0 discipliner leurs enfants. Les hommes sont d\u00e9sormais prudents et ils connaissent bien la loi prot\u00e9geant les femmes et les enfants de la violence. Ils sont maintenant plus prudents et effray\u00e9s parce qu'ils comprennent que s'ils enfreignent cette loi, ils peuvent \u00eatre punis.<\/em><\/p>\n

Since the project came to the barangay, we\u2019ve learned many things. They\u2019re like seeds that are planted, and they will grow. Knowledge is like a seed that will grow in every family.
